Under certain circumstances IC will provide fax-services for international students. IC' Fax number is (909) 880-7020.

Health Insurance

International Students are mandated to enroll in a health insurance program which has adequate benefits. Students will not be able to register without proper health insurance.

Housing/Homestay

IC has complete information on Housing availability on and near the campus. There is also a Homestay program provided by the American Culture and Language Program (IEP). Students have the opportunity to live with a U.S. Family during your stay in the U.S. Please consult IC for more details.

Income Tax Workshop

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has ruled that international students must file NR1040 income tax forms, even if they did not earn any money in the United States. Specialists for the INS and IRS conduct an annual Income Tax Workshop. They show you how to fill out the income tax forms. In addition, all international students must file a statement with personal information about themselves, their academic programs, and any American visas they have held since 1986 Go to the top of this page

International Clubs

Several organizations serve international students. The International Student Association (ISA) is a group which serves the CSUSB community by promoting the exchange of ideas and information about different countries through social and cultural activities. The goals of the ISA are to unify international students at CSUSB and provide each other with support, social activities, and interaction with U.S. students. International ID Cards

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) offer a variety of new benefits for cardholders traveling in the U.S. and abroad. New features include:

Off-Campus Classes

IC working with the Office of Admissions and Records may authorize off-campus classes at area community colleges and universities.

Employment Opportunity Workshops

IC in cooperation with the Career Development Center offers a workshop designed to assist international students who are interested in finding an off-campus job. The workshop is composed of two parts as follows:

  1. Different types of employment allowed by the Office of Immigration and Naturalization Service.
  2. Job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing skills.

Embassy/Consulate Liason

IC has an updated list of names of Consulates with addresses and telephone numbers available to international students. IC keeps in touch with the Consulates in the area and serves as a liason with their Offices.
